Fortnum & Mason

Fortnum's is a 300 year old department store based in central London. Internationally recognised for its high-quality goods and food, Fortnum & Mason has established close ties with the Royal family during its time at 181 Piccadilly.

I initially worked with another UI designer to create templates for the asp.net based websites in both the UK and the USA, but for the past 8 months I have been the sole front-end developer for the website. In this time I have helped to maintain the site with regular updates as well as optimizing the XHTML and CSS to continually improve the website. Fortnum & Mason also send emails to their subscribers throughout the year, so I turn the PSD designs into effective html emails that are sent to over 100,000 email addresses.

Nicorette Worldwide

Nicorette is an over-the-counter smoking cessation product sold by Johnson & Johnson throughout the world. I have worked on websites for over 15 countries including the UK, France, Germany, China, Australia and Russia. Many of the countries I worked on have an online smoking reduction programme called ActiveStop, as well as the main brand website.

The core site structure had already been developed when I began working on the Nicorette sites, so I mostly work on updating the websites and fixing bugs. In the spring of 2009 I was heavily involved in the devlopment of a new CMS for some future client sites. This has been very popular and approxiamtely 10 more countries will be launching new Nicorette websites using the CMS.

Benadryl

Johnson & Johnson also produces Benadryl, a range of products specifically designed to help battle the symptoms of hayfever. The site is very simple and easy to use, but the beautiful imagery helps make this site stand out from the other pharmaceutical websites on the internet.

I was the sole front-end developer for this project and was successful in transforming the designs into a working user interface by the deadline. The Benadryl website uses XHTML, CSS and jquery to deliver a good user experience.

Regaine

Regaine is the only hair loss treatment proven to help stop hair loss in men and women. The new Regaine for men website was launched in May 2009.

I was the sole front-end developer, but I worked closely with the project manager, creative designers and a flash developer to deliver the project.

 

Skills

  • Competent with Flash, Fireworks, 3D Studio MAX and Macromedia Director.
